Alice Anderson
Alice Anderson is an artist I have been fawning over since seeing her work through Marina Warner's lecture at the Alice in Wonderland symposium last year. We were treated to clip of Anderson's The Doll's Day, 2008, which sadly I cannot find anywhere online. However, there are still some gorgeous videos and imagery featuring her work. I absolutely love the use of dolls and hair she makes and uses in her work, which conjures up ideas of fairy tales.
Tim Walker's Mechanical Dolls
I stumbled upon the fabulous Tim Walker's Mechanical Dolls last night whilst researching for my own puppet beauties. There is something very unnerving about these models who look fantastically believable and eerie as puppets and dolls.
You can see them moving in this video, which is even more creepy to watch.

The Company of Wolves: The Wedding Party
One of my favourite scenes, where a sorceress who has been done wrong by a man gatecrashes his wedding and turns him, his bride and his guests into wolfies. And don't they look all the more handsome for it?

Peter and the Wolf
Peter and the Wolf is one of my favourite stories from my childhood - I had the David Bowie audio tape of him reading the story, lovely lovely!
I came across this brilliant retelling last year when researching for my own retelling through shadow puppetry. This animated story directed by Suzie Templeton still has that delicious music and the same characters but has a slightly more moral ending. And the wolfie is just gorgeously handsome, those eyes!
